Erotic Album is a visual and sonic project exploring eroticism as a vital, creative life force that flows through the body and beyond. Aligned with Audre Lorde’s writing in Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power, the project reclaims the erotic as a deep source of energy, intuition, and connection—not confined to sexuality, but present throughout the universe.

My contribution, which accompanies 11 tracks — each dedicated to a specific body part — unfolds across three visual layers. The macro level draws from a wide array of archival public domain imagery: from natural phenomena and historical illustrations to anatomical fragments and symbolic cultural references. These visuals propose a reimagined, expansive eroticism rooted in the world around us. The micro layer features surreal photographic self-portraits and intimate images of natural objects—fruits, flowers, and organic forms—that I find sensually resonant. These are personal reflections on desire, perception, and embodiment. Bridging these poles are expressive drawings and sketches that merge abstraction with sensuality, forming a connective tissue between the cosmic and the personal.

Together, these images act as a visual atlas—echoing Aby Warburg’s Mnemosyne—where recycled and recontextualized imagery reveals new meanings. Erotic Album invites viewers to expand their sense of the erotic: not as spectacle, but as a poetic, animating force that touches all aspects of life.
